Digital Equity ensures access to the internet, devices, and other digital tools for all community members.
Digital Inclusion
Working to increase access, adoption, and use of community resources so all community members can participate in the Digital World
The United Palatine Coalition believes that access to digital skill-building classes, affordable high-speed internet, and devices is vital for empowering families and communities to thrive in education and economic growth.
Together with our 40+ partners, we are raising awareness about the Digital Divide in Palatine and its surrounding areas.

Digital Equity in Action
Harper College & United Palatine Coalition December 2025
Thanks to the support of the Cook County Digital Equity IMPACT Small Grants Program, Harper College and the United Palatine Coalition successfully launched and completed a 7-week Basic Computer Skills course designed for English-language learners in our community. Despite the critical challenges our community continues to face, 27 students proudly completed the course and passed with excellence, demonstrating the power of access, opportunity, and culturally responsive digital-skills training.
Throughout the program, participants gained foundational computer skills, many learning for the very first time how to turn a computer on and off, navigate the internet, create documents, manage email, and use tools like Google Drive and Paint. Several students shared that these new skills immediately helped them at work, strengthened communication with their children’s schools, and built confidence to continue their education.
